Join us for a two-plus-day workshop (Friday evening through Sunday) as we explore the basics of wildlife tracking. You’ll learn to identify tracks, recognize movement patterns and gaits, interpret signs, and dive into the natural history and behavior of local animals. Here for more information. Founded in 2007, The Forest School believes that learning can be a wonderous adventure and that people learn best by doing.
We offer programs and workshops for all ages. They are hands-on, and experiential in nature, they combine freedom with form and take place both indoors and outdoors.
A Story of Hope
Reflecting on the beauty of her world, a young girl finds it hard to imagine the time the elders speak of – when many were driven by fear and self-interest, when the earth was sick from the ways of the people, and needed to fight back to reclaim its balance. She marvels at her world and the bravery and determination it must have taken to make it possible.
